Welcome to my new blog about Ohio’s one and only current NHL franchise. The only team in current existence that is undefeated in post season play! The Columbus Blue Jackets. This post will just be a brief about me/site type of thing, explaining what I plan to blog about and ect. I am not affiliated with the Blue Jackets in ANY way.
First off, my name is Kory. I am a College Student who lives in the northern part of Ohio. I live in Cleveland during the summer and Toledo during the school year. I myself LOVE the NHL, and hockey, and the Columbus Blue Jackets. I believe that the NHL is one of the best sports there is. I like it because its underrated, foreign, fast, and grueling. Just look at the 2007-2008. The end of the season and playoffs were very entertaining. I myself don’t have an NHL team within 30miles from me, which really doesn’t anger me because, I can root for who I want, and if they did have an NHL team in Cleveland, I really doubt many people would support another major league sport. But I will get into that topic later. I have been a Blue Jackets fan since inception, personally I have only attended one game live but I watch many games on television and read up on the Jackets and the NHL frequently. My father brought me up to love the game. He moved here from Pittsburgh to marry my mother about 30 years ago. So, I have been a natural Penguins fan (NOT A STEELERS FAN) for most of my life. I love the logo, love the arena, love Mario, they are a very great organization that has a great fan base and the team has a very positive future. But, as I said I am a natural hockey fan. We have an AHL team here in Cleveland, the Lake Erie Monsters, I keep up to date with them also, and attend frequent games.
This blog will be mostly about the Bluejackets but I will also cover the the Monsters occasionally, and hockey in general. I plan to go in depth mainly about the Jackets though. I will cover each game individually with 1 blogpost, a pre-game before and a post-game edited after. This summer I will cover any news that regards the Jackets. I am a very humorous person so trust me nothing will be as standard and traditional as this.
